I’m looking to spend around $1000. The size is dependent on the price. I thinking a 42 inch or the next size up. I’m not a gamer, just watch alot of action and sports. What kind is the best value for the money? I plan on consulting Consumer Reports, but any opinions on the matter would be greatly appreciatted.

It’s a 42 inch Vizio LCD for $800.00. Which is the best price ive seen lately for one. I dont know how long its been on display.Also if anyone knows where I should look for a good flat screen at least 42 inches, for around 600 – 800 dollars that would be great, might be difficult though.

which is better plasma or lcd and would you recommend 1 of these 2 brands over the other?

I’m looking to buy a 42 inch HD television. I’m confused between plasma and LCD. Consumer Reports magazine is now starting to say that plasma is getting better and possibly better than LCD.
So can someone tell me the difference between them both? Can you also tell me which one in your opinion is better?

I bought a 42 inch lcd polaroid for 598 I thought i was a real good price after going home i hoped online and search it and read alot and i mean a alot of reviews it seems like this tv is not going to last long about a year and the start messing up and the coustmer service is crap this is what i read and they give you nothing but the run around. what should i do take it back and pay more for another tv or just wait and see what happen the 600 bucks was like free money i was not expecting so its not like it was out of my wallet sort of. plz help

From the research I’ve done so far, it seems like for screens 42 inches and under, LCD is the way to go. Please give the pros and cons of LCD and plasma screens. My wife really like the image quality of the Samsungs she’s seen. Any advice on a good brand/model?

I know the progressive scans are superior to the interlaced, but I’m not sure on the difference between 1080 and 720. From what I’ve read, for a 42 inch screen, 720 is adequate (I’ve actually heard superior). Advice on this would be appreciated, as well.

Well I have 800 dollars and a 100 dollars gift card to circuit city and I was looking I can buy the 42 inch lcd and the brand is LG Looks Like a nice tv and I would not have to barrow the money.
