I bought a 42 inch lcd polaroid for 598 I thought i was a real good price after going home i hoped online and search it and read alot and i mean a alot of reviews it seems like this tv is not going to last long about a year and the start messing up and the coustmer service is crap this is what i read and they give you nothing but the run around. what should i do take it back and pay more for another tv or just wait and see what happen the 600 bucks was like free money i was not expecting so its not like it was out of my wallet sort of. plz help
also how is the vizo brand?

Earlier i got same PHILIPS hdtv but it was plasma 1080i/720p hdtv

so i exchanged it with 42 inch lcd hdtv 1080p.

but what i noted is the image is somewhat black in some areas

the whole screen looks is not bright.I have adjusted all the color,brigthness in tv settings

The previous plasma was brighter in appearance and no black areas in scrreen

whats the differnce with lcd or plasma?

Sharp Aquos LC42D62U 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I just bought this tv. It doesn’t come with built-in tuners. I cannot afford “digital” cable. What is my best option to utilize this tv without spending an arm and a leg. I saw the KWorld 1600 LCD TV Box TV Tuner ( VGA NTSC ) – KW-TV1600R as an option, however it only goes up to 1600 x 1200 while the tv goes up to1920 x 1080. Will this pose a problem?

Haier HL42XK1 42-inch 1080p LCD TV

We use an antena to get our TV, but because of the digital switch we get nothing. I was wondering if a converter box is needed for all TV’s, or just old ones. I heard that new HDTVs do NOT need the box, but would we need one for the above mentioned TV.
