I’m looking at buying a 42-inch HDTV LCD,should I go with 1080p or 720p? What should the resolution be? Thanks for any help on these topics.

Please Where do I find LCD HD?

I was looking at the lcd TVs at target and they had some LCD HDs that where 37 inches and 42 inches that were under $1,000. The one I was looking at was a memorex 37 inch but it may be sony, i forgot. I just wanna know if the quality is low because of the low price. Where do I get a good priced 37 inched LCD HD TV that has 1080i,complete with high quality HD, and is under a 1000. Also are there any 42 inches under a thousand. Give me some direction because i dont know if i should buy at target.

PS.I have a xbox 360 and I need a tv that is fit for the BOX. THANX

Question about 42 inch+ hdtvs?

I just bought a 42″ sharp 1080p refurbished lcd hdtv. When I watch blu-rays on it.. it looks fuzzy to me. I am wondering.. if it is the tv for just me.. because I am not used to having tv’s this size. I am sitting around 5′ away from it. Is that the problem.. do you have to be further away because it is large, or do you think it is the tv? I had a 32″ vizio before this and I never thought it looked fuzzy..

thanks

42″ Sony Grand WEGA LCD?

Oh I’m thinking about buying this tv off of craigstlist Its a steal 65 dollars Only problem is it has green lines that go down the TV? Okay I’ve been doing my research maybe at first i though it may be the HD may not be setup correct and won’t function properly on the setup he has on it.. Then i came across this post:”Replace the panel. A bad panel that needs replacing is indicated by green lines that run across the screen of your 42-inch Grand Wega when it is turned on.” So my Question really is When he says panel does he mean the whole TV or is there a part called panel that I Could buy and get replaced? I’ve searched everywhere for the part but couldn’t find it anywhere? So I really don’t Know Please help ASAP So i can figure if I wanna buy this TV Or Not!!! Thanks & Have a blessed day!

What causes herringbone noise on HDTV?

Akai 42 inch LCD HDTV is receiving herringbone lines on non HD channels and wavy vertical lines on HD channels. Is this a problem with ground loop or is there a problem with my cable connection?

Ok, I would be confused by my question, so you might be too…

I have a 42 inch Samsung LCD HD with 1080…

I am buying a PS3 in a few hours, but I don’t plan on buying the HDMI cables just yet…

Basically my question is will the graphics still look good with the cables that come in the box with the PS3?

I plan on buying the HDMI cables in the future, it’s just not a top priority right now.

Thanks!

HTPC dvi2hdmi to new LCD problem?

I recently purchased a new 42 inch Philips LCD, I previously had a Westinghouse 32″ LCD @ 720p with a Asus Pundit HTPC ran to it via DVI/HDMI cable with no problems. When I purchased the new TV and hooked it up it shows the bios and pre windows vista booting but once desktop comes up it looses signal. If I connect the HTPC to my projector and boot the pc and then swap the cable to the Philips LCD it will work but once rebooted it will not, basically it will not work booting on the Philips only swapping. I tried hitting f8 upon boot and booting with VGA resolution but it’s not working, only thing that works is safe mode.

What are some good TV recommendations?

I recently lost my 30 inch Samsung HDTV tube set during an electrical storm and I need some advice on picking up a new set. The thing is that I don’t currently subscribe to any HDTV content and probably won’t in the near future due to the extra cost for Dish Network HD programming. Also, the prices for flat screens are dropping like crazy so should I just wait and get a standard non-HDTV to hold me over for a year or two until LCD prices match those of plasmas?

I had my eye on a 42 inch LCD from Philips that outputs full 1080p for $1600, but I know the picture would look like ass through my receiver’s s-video cable. So what do you folks think? Should I just wait it out for now? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can’t stand plasmas BTW.
